The GEMS Magazine provides a fabulous welcome to all our participants, faculty, guests and tutors, to the GEMS Film Scoring Summer Program.
The GEMS Magazine is personalised to each composer by including your daily timetable, orchestral recording, individual meetings, individual score review sessions, one on one meeting, and more.
Each year we highlight and profile a selection of our GEMS Composers Alumni who are working in global entertainment with an interview about the industry, what they are working on, their workflow process, and what they got from the GEMS Film Scoring Summer Program such as how they used their orchestral recording to win awards, or as a platform to get an assistantship or work for tutors or work for tutors contacts, or be hired by other GEMS Alumni for broadcast, game and features productions.
The GEMS Magazine is full of interview with our guests and tutors about their work and careers, the social events we run such as the Flamenco Night Party, information about the RTVE orchestra and the recording day, travel, accommodation, dates, things you need to pack, restaurant recommendations for individual dietary requirements.
One of the main sections in the GEMS Magazine is our meet the composers. This is where you get a chance to share your personalised introduction, photo and contact details with everyone, including the tutors and guest speaker. It is a great informal way to introduce yourself and read up on all the other composers who are on the program with you.
Once registered you will be sent a template to complete by adding your photo, text, links to your website, etc which will then be published in the GEMS Magazine.
Finally the GEMS Magazine is such a super visual memory about the GEMS Film Scoring Summer Program to share with family and friends, use as introductions and a directory for keeping in contact with your fellow composers.
