Meet Yuliya Protasova
Hello, my name is Yuliya Protasova, I began my career as a classical pianist in Ukraine, and obtained my degree in Valencia (Spain) in 2019 at the CSMV. I was always passionate about composing my own music, specifically film music. So finally I decided to dedicate myself to film scoring.
The Gems 2019 course was a great boost, where I recorded my first work with a professional orchestra. Afterwards, I completed a Master of Film Scoring at the Conservatory Music of Catalonia (ESMUC) in Barcelona.
In 2021, my first LP “Themes for Absent Pictures” for solo piano was released, and a year later an EP of electronic music together with DJ Lucia Gea.
I really enjoy creating both music for orchestra and electronic music, two pretty different fields. I love collaborating with other musicians, and learning something new.
Now I am working on a new Stop Motion project, with my colleague, where I will be part of the animation, and composer. This way I also discover the world behind the cameras.
