My name is Svetlana Krylova and I am a composer based in Paris, France. Being a citizen of the world that I am, I studied music in different parts of the globe: Russia, the USA (both the East and West Coasts) and France.

My  passion for music was passed on to me from my mother who used to sing to me traditional Russian songs during long dark stormy winter evenings when I was a child. To this day it remains one of the most magical memories from my childhood. It definitely  shaped my musical tastes that gravitate towards lyrical and melodious sound. 

I grew up taking piano lessons. As a pianist, I find an endless source of inspiration in the music of Rachmaninov, Liszt, and Debussy. All in all the Romantic period composers had a huge influence on me as a music creator. 

I decided to become a media composer because I love collaborating with other creatives. I thrive in a team environment and feel most fulfilled when I get to work towards a common goal.  

In 2020 I received an academic certificate in film scoring from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Since then I have collaborated with independent filmmakers and video game developers. My most favorite genres to work in include animation and video games.
